Job summary

The City of San Antonio is seeking a supervisory crew leader to manage a maintenance team at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, TX. You will ensure schedules are followed, solve problems, and inform supervisors of complex issues.

The role covers maintenance duties, equipment repair, event preparation, safety compliance, and inventory control, with shifts including mornings and evenings and some weekend work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent recognized by the TEA or regional accrediting agency.
• Two years of experience in labor or maintenance.
• Must possess Texas driver’s license plus endorsements within six months.

Responsibilities

• Direct a crew in maintenance duties including sweeping/cleaning streets and custodial work.
• Repair or replace equipment at City parks and facilities.
• Prepare City facilities for events.
• Inspect work areas and equipment for safety and quality.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Develop work schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Fulfills related duties as required.
