Job summary

Martinez Renewable Fuels invites a Project Controls Specialist to support daily maintenance planning, cost control, and forecasting. The role centers on maintaining financial controls for maintenance projects, ensuring data integrity across cost tracking and reporting processes using SAP and Excel.

You will partner with planners and engineers to ensure proper coding, provide regular cost analysis, and support monthly forecast cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, engineering, or business.
• 5+ years of experience in refinery or project cost control.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Track actual costs, forecasts, and variances using SAP and Excel models.
• Coordinate with maintenance planners and project engineers on coding of work orders, purchase orders, and time entries.
• Monitor and reconcile work orders to align with budget expectations and priorities.
• Create cost tracking dashboards and provide weekly/monthly spending trend reports, accruals, and forecasts.
