Talent Edge Recruiting is seeking a mechanically inclined professional to become the hub of its field operations. This role blends office coordination with hands-on field work, offering a path to grow technical skills while supporting critical infrastructure maintenance.

The position is a 50/50 split between maintenance coordination and hands-on mechanical support, with regional travel and hands-on training to develop into an independent field technician over time.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and enjoys working with tools and equipment.
• Experience working in or around an industrial, manufacturing, or maintenance environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to travel to customer job sites throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance schedules and service calls (approximately 30 per week) across multiple field technicians.
• Balance customer priorities and emergency requests while coordinating technician schedules.
• Communicate with customers regarding appointments, timelines, and service updates.
• Prepare quotes, work orders, and assist with invoicing.
• Ensure technicians have information and resources needed for service calls.
• Train alongside experienced technicians performing predictive maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Travel to customer facilities throughout the region.
• Assist with troubleshooting and evaluating industrial mechanical equipment.
• Develop into an independent field technician over time.

What You'll Do

This role is approximately a 50/50 split between office coordination and field support.

Maintenance Coordination (50%)

• Schedule approximately 30 maintenance and service calls each week across multiple field technicians
• Coordinate technician schedules while balancing customer priorities and emergency requests
• Communicate with customers regarding appointments, timelines, and service updates
• Prepare quotes, work orders, and assist with invoicing
• Ensure technicians have the information and resources needed for successful service calls

Hands-On Mechanical Support (50%)

• Train alongside experienced technicians performing predictive maintenance and equipment inspections
• Travel to customer facilities throughout the region
• Assist with troubleshooting and evaluating industrial mechanical equipment
• Learn specialized predictive maintenance techniques, including vibration analysis
• Develop into an independent field technician over time

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Occasional Saturday emergency work

Our customers include utilities, water treatment facilities, paper mills, hospitals, and other critical infrastructure that operate 24/7. Because of this, occasional weekend or emergency scheduling support may be required.
