Job summary

gpac is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team in Fort Worth, TX. This hands-on role focuses on keeping industrial equipment, fleet vehicles, and facility machinery operating safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues, perform routine inspections, replace components, and assist with welding and fabrication as needed.

Qualifications

This is a hands-on role responsible for keeping industrial equipment, fleet vehicles, and facility machinery operating safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, fleet vehicles, and facility machinery.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
• Repair and maintain a variety of industrial processing equipment and mobile equipment.
• Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs before equipment failures occur.
• Replace bearings, belts, chains, hoses, cylinders, motors, and other mechanical components.
• Complete minor welding and fabrication repairs as needed.
• Assist with hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and document completed repairs.
• Keep shop tools and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance, heavy equipment repair, diesel mechanics, or a related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of:
• Hydraulics
• Industrial mechanical systems
• Welding
• Electrical troubleshooting
• Preventative maintenance
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and repair documentation.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with one or more of the following:

• Industrial balers
• Shredders
• Forklifts
• Skid steers
• Commercial trucks
• Trailers
• Industrial processing equipment

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Comfortable working around industrial machinery in varying temperatures and environments.
