Job summary

YMCA of the Suncoast is seeking a dependable Maintenance Coordinator to manage day-to-day maintenance of the John Geigle North Pinellas Branch. You will perform repairs, preventative tasks, and regular inspections to keep facilities safe and welcoming.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, good communication, and ability to work independently while coordinating with staff, volunteers, contractors, and leadership. Part-time with benefits and PTO offered.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in maintenance, construction, facilities, handyman work or related field.
• Experience with common hand and power tools and knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, painting and general building maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CPO certification preferred; training may be provided.
• Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and pass background and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete day-to-day maintenance needs of the branch.
• Perform general building repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Paint, pressure wash, grounds maintenance, and minor plumbing, electrical, irrigation, or carpentry work.
• Inspect facility and equipment, complete monthly safety inspections and maintain tools and supplies.
• Assist with maintenance projects and report needs/progress to branch leadership.
