Job summary

8Fleet in Los Angeles, with openings for San Francisco and San Diego, is seeking hands-on maintenance leadership. You will schedule preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, and ensure vehicles are ready to drive.

You will lead the Fleet Specialist team, manage outside shops, and track downtime and costs while maintaining maintenance records. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in fleet maintenance and experience with Fleetio/Samsara/ServiceUp.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fleet, automotive or vehicle maintenance.
• Experience managing vendors.
• Comfort with fleet software (Fleetio, Samsara, ServiceUp).
• Availability for a 24-hour operation, including some nights, weekends and on-call.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

8Fleet is a Los Angeles–based technology and logistics company building the operational infrastructure behind modern rideshare fleets. Our vehicles run 24 hours a day across five markets.

About the Role

You'll make sure our vehicles are ready to drive. You'll schedule maintenance, manage repair shops and vendors, direct our Fleet Specialists, and know at any hour what's down and why. This is a hands‑on role. You'll spend as much time in the lot and the shop as at a screen.

We're hiring for San Francisco and San Diego.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years in fleet, automotive or vehicle maintenance (shop, dealership service, rental, delivery or transit fleet).

• Working knowledge of vehicle systems and experience managing vendors.

• Comfort with fleet software. We use Fleetio, Samsara and ServiceUp.

• Availability for a 24-hour operation, including some nights, weekends and on‑call.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice to Have

• ASE certification or technician background.

• EV or hybrid experience.

• Experience leading a small team.

Compensation

Base Salary: $71,000–$75,000 + equity
