Job summary

8Fleet Inc. in Miami/Atlanta seeks a hands-on Fleet Maintenance Lead to keep our vehicles ready to drive. You’ll schedule preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, and supervise the Fleet Specialist team in a 24/7 operation.

You’ll manage external shops and vendors from scheduling through invoice review, track downtime and costs per vehicle, and keep maintenance records up to date. Take unsafe vehicles out of service and escalate safety issues immediately.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fleet, automotive or vehicle maintenance (shop, dealership service, rental, delivery or transit fleet).
• Experience managing vendors and understanding vehicle systems.
• Comfort with fleet software: Fleetio, Samsara, ServiceUp.

About the Role

You’ll make sure our vehicles are ready to drive. You'll schedule maintenance, manage repair shops and vendors, direct our Fleet Specialists, and know at any hour what's down and why. This is a hands‑on role. You'll spend as much time in the lot and the shop as at a screen.

We're hiring for Miami and Atlanta.

What You'll Do

• Own the preventive maintenance schedule for your market.

• Coordinate repairs and track every vehicle until it's back in service.

• Manage outside shops and vendors, from scheduling through invoice review.

• Direct the day-to-day work of the Fleet Specialist team.

• Track downtime and cost per vehicle, and keep maintenance records and inspections current.

• Take unsafe vehicles out of service and **escalate safety** issues right away.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years in fleet, automotive or vehicle maintenance (shop, dealership service, rental, delivery or transit fleet).

• Working knowledge of vehicle systems and experience managing vendors.

• Comfort with fleet software. We use Fleetio, Samsara and ServiceUp.

• Availability for a 24-hour operation, including some nights, weekends and on-call.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice to Have

• ASE certification or technician background.

• EV or hybrid experience.

• Experience leading a small team.

Compensation

Base Salary: $65,000–$71,000 + equity
