The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services seeks a Maintenance/Construction Technician III to perform advanced maintenance and repair of specialized grading equipment across North Carolina's agricultural infrastructure. You’ll work hands-on with fabrication, welding, and equipment such as Pneumatic and Automatic Samplers, sometimes at heights up to 50 feet.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and two years of progressive experience in the trade areas; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • EPA certification may be required (Type I/II/III or Universal) under Title 40 CFR Part 82.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced maintenance and repair of specialized grading equipment in hot and cold environments.
  • Fabrication and welding tasks as part of equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Operate pneumatic and automatic samplers and use articulating lifts up to 50 feet.
  • Prepare letters and reports to support daily operations.
