Job summary

Savant Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep of our Assisted Living facility. You will work under supervision to perform general maintenance tasks, ensuring a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.

This role emphasizes safety, timely response to requests, and collaboration with contractors. The position requires basic maintenance knowledge, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and compliance with health screenings and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with background screening and health clearances.
• Experience in general maintenance or healthcare setting preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in general maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry.
• Perform routine inspections and address maintenance requests promptly.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and assist with setup for events.
• Maintain tidy maintenance areas and inventory; document activities.
• Collaborate with contractors or vendors for repairs and inspections.
