Job summary

Prime Independent Living is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join our team, working alongside the Maintenance Director to keep the community safe, beautiful, and welcoming for residents. You will handle day-to-day maintenance, respond to service requests, and assist with apartment turns and preventive maintenance.

In this role, you’ll troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues, support safety initiatives, and help coordinate with external contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities, or related fields preferred.
• Working knowledge of general building maintenance including basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day maintenance and repairs across apartments and common areas.
• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders promptly and professionally.
• Help with apartment turns, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely, safe work.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Support the Maintenance Director and team with daily priorities and special projects.
