Job summary

FirstService Residential in Highland Beach, FL is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member to ensure all mechanical systems and common areas are well maintained and disinfected. You will perform routine inspections, lighting checks, and handle basic carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and painting tasks as scheduled.

This full-time role requires attention to safety, strong customer service, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Multilingual fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors and checks for problems, reporting to supervisors.
• Maintains safety procedures and a safe work environment.
• Coordinates with building staff and handles daily work orders.
• Paints common areas and performs touch-ups as needed.
• Maintains and inspects assigned equipment in good condition.
• Performs minor carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and flooring repairs.
• Handles lifting and moving of heavy items as directed by supervisors.
