Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a maintenance technician to manage contractors on site and maintain machinery, equipment and building systems to assure continuous production.

You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, support ISO and OSHA requirements, and work with various trades to keep lines running and safe.

Qualifications

• Education, credentials and previous experience as listed in the ad.
• 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of machinery and ability to use hand tools, gauges and power tools.

Position Summary

Position Summary: Manage contractors and maintain machinery, equipment, and building systems in order to assure continuous production.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist with managing contractors, while on site, where needed.
• Maintain machinery, equipment and building systems such as HVAC, compressors, pumps and air handling exhaust system.
• Maintain assembly equipment for building and testing all Parker FCD valves.
• Troubleshoot, problems with machinery and building systems.
• Move cells and machinery when necessary.
• Maintain equipment and needed supplies.
• Coordinate and/or perform equipment preventative maintenance and preventative maintenance programs.
• Follow SOP required within department.
• Understand ISO procedures and know where appropriate documentation is kept.
• Perform a wide range of general building, such as plumbing, general electric, carpentry, sheet metal and fabrication design and sheet metal repair work.
• Support and adhere to all applicable OSHA regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of department floors and machinery.
• Qualify for an Operator's Permit for Powered Industrial Trucks.
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

Education, Credentials and Previous Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical degree preferred.
• 1 -3 years experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• General knowledge of machinery and machining.
• Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools, gauges, portable power tools, forklifts and trucks.

Technical Depth and Breadth:

• Basic computer skills.
• Able to follow written/verbal instructions and directions in English.
• Learns and maintains required skill and proficiency to successfully accomplish full job responsibilities; willingly takes on new assignments and cross trains in other areas.
• Knowledge of assembly and production equipment
• Ability to work from drawings, sketches, charts, schedules and blueprints.

Problem Solving and Analytical Skills:

• In coordination with team members, initiate contact with other support groups to resolve problems.
• Actively participate in improvement activities, Lean and Kaizen projects, HPT and TIB meetings.
• Provide suggestions for improvement. Consistently open to change and new ideas.
• Application and knowledge of pareto charts, 5Y, Fish Bone Diagram and 10 Step Problem Solving.
