  • Package hose per customer requirement.
  • Perform quality inspections of packaging materials and final product.

Job description

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Responsible for ensuring all final inspected hose meets customer requirements, conforms to specifications established by Parker and industry standards. Packages hose into reel or box depending on customer requirement.

Essential Functions
  • Must be capable of following and meeting standard work requirements for assembly, packaging, processing, and inspection of final product.
  • Assure all necessary documents required are properly prepared and completed.
  • Monitor production equipment while in operation to ensure quality of product.
  • Identify and eliminate known defects and document all good and non-conforming products.
  • Package hose per customer requirement
  • Perform quality inspections of packaging materials and final product as it is packaged.
  • Identify and eliminate any known defects.
Department Specific/ Non-essential Functions
  • Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately.
  • Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.
  • Maintain production schedules.
  • Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
  • Other duties may be assigned later.
Minimum Requirements

Education required/ preferred: High School diploma or GED

Experience

Production work preferred but not required

  • Steel toed shoes Standing is required for extended periods of time. Stooping, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping are done on a frequent basis. Climbing, carrying, kneeling, lifting, and lifting overhead are performed on an occasional basis.
  • Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions.
  • Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime.
