Job description

Position Summary

To troubleshoot, repair, overhaul equipment in several maintenance systems including machining, electrical, plumbing, or welding.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Maintenance of machine equipment and hand tools.
  • Troubleshoot a problem beyond basic component replacement within two or more specific trades.
  • Responsible for maintenance of equipment records, and administration of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Installation, alteration, preventative maintenance and repair of various types of production equipment.
  • Responsible for proper administration of LOTO, confined space and other OSHA guidelines.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.
  • Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.
  • Maintain production schedules.
  • Work with groups in initiating and implementation of programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
  • Other duties may be assigned later.

  • 3. Ability to use all general mechanical hand tools and light power tools
  • 4. Knowledge of light machine shop tools
  • 5. Understanding of low pressure hydraulic, pneumatic, with the ability to troubleshoot these systems.
