Job summary

Parker Hannifin's Filtration Group in Holly Springs, MS is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on production machinery, troubleshoot control systems, and assist in fabrication and repairs. You will work in a clean factory environment, uphold safety and housekeeping standards, and support continuous operations.

Candidates should have PLC knowledge, read electrical schematics, and have experience with Allen-Bradley and Direct Logic PLCs.

Qualifications

  • Must have PLC knowledge.
  • Able to read electrical schematics.
  • Experience reading blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
  • Welding experience (MIG/TIG/Stick) preferred.
  • Ability to use standard hand tools and measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on all production machinery.

  • Fabricates chutes, equipment guarding, etc.
  • Operate standard fabricating equipment such as saws, benders, etc.
  • Disassemble machines and perform necessary repairs using hand tools.
  • Replace broken or defective parts.
  • Trouble shoot and repair pneumatic systems / problems.
  • Ability to trouble shoot control systems required.
  • Must be able to use standard electrical test equipment.
  • Preferred Welding experience – Mig, Tig and Stick Welding
  • Preferred experience bending conduit and pulling wire for electrical service.

Position Summary

Requirements To Apply For Position
  • Must have PLC knowledge.
    • Perform routine upkeep and troubleshoot plc systems.
    • Understand or decipher PLC ladder logic.
    • Familiar with Allen Bradley and Direct Logic PLCs.
    • Programming PLC preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Be able to use Laptop/Notebook computer for machine program diagnostics.
  • Be able to diagnose problems with process machinery and repair the problem.
  • Possess experience in operating standard hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Mechanical aptitude to include the ability to perform standard shop computations relating to dimensions of the job, up through geometric calculations.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • Those employees who have been in their position for one year or more will be considered first.
  • Readily accepts new assignments and receptive to feedback.
PHYSICAL TRAITS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finer, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

Clean factory environment. The employee is regularly exposed to vibration, works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level can be loud.
