Job summary

Arrowhead Products Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Associate 1 to support Facilities & Maintenance Operations. The role combines Hazardous Waste Operator and Oiler Greaser duties, including waste handling, labeling, and inventory management, with preventative maintenance tasks on plant equipment.

Responsibilities include fueling, lubricating, and maintaining machines, assisting in emergency responses, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent; previous Facilities/Maintenance experience may be substituted for education requirement.
• Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to operate ladders, scissor lifts, forklifts, and electric carts.
• Working knowledge of air compressors (100 hp), lubricants (oil and grease) and their use.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and work orders.
• Ability to use standard maintenance measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to share knowledge with other employees in the department.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hazardous waste handling, storage labeling and inventory.
• Adjust and lubricate equipment for preventative maintenance.
• Fill and supply machines with required fluids (oil, coolant, water, grease).
• Perform preventive maintenance per work orders.
• Assist in emergency situations (spills, evacuation, cleanup).
• Obtain forklift certification within 60 days of hire.
• Operate power equipment such as floor scrubbers and electric carts.
• Participate in DOT, HAZMAT, HAZWOPER training programs.
• Collect and remove hazardous waste after training.
• Help develop techniques to increase productivity, quality and throughput.
• Keep work area and equipment clean and safe.
