Job summary

Arrowhead Products in Los Alamitos, CA is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Associate to join the 1st shift. The role combines Hazardous Waste Operator and Oiler Greaser duties to support facilities and maintenance operations.

Responsibilities include hazardous waste handling, lubrication, fluid management, and assisting in emergency response. A valid CA Driver’s License is required; forklift certification must be earned within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Handle hazardous waste storage, labeling and inventory.
• Lubricate and adjust equipment for preventative maintenance.
• Fill fluids and monitor levels for machines and equipment.
• Assist in emergency response and spill cleanup operations.
• Operate floor scrubbers and electric carts on the shop floor.
• Participate in DOT/HAZMAT/HAZWOPER training.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and adhere to safety standards.

Position Type: Full Time.

Salary Range: $27.10 - $27.10 Hourly.

Job Shift: 1st Shift.

Job Summary: This position will assist in the successful Facilities & Maintenance Operations of Arrowhead Products. It is a combination of the following jobs: Hazardous Waste Operator and Oiler Greaser.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for hazardous waste handling, including storage, proper container labeling, and inventory.
• Will adjust and lubricate equipment that is assigned to the Maintenace Department for preventative maintenance.
• Fill and supply all machines and equipment with the required fluids, oil, coolant, water, grease, etc.
• Under the direction of EH&S and/or senior Maintenance Staff, will assist in performing preventive maintenance per assigned work order.
• Will assist plant management during emergency situations that include but are not limited to spills, evacuation, and clean-up operations.
• Must obtain a forklift certification within the first 60 days of hire/transfer.
• Must be capable of operating power equipment such as floor scrubbers and electric carts.
• Required to participate in DOT, HAZMAT, HAZWOPER training program.
• Pick up and remove all hazardous waste and material from the facility after completing the DOT, HAZMAT, HAZWOPER training program.
• Responsible for assisting the department in the development of techniques to increase productivity, quality, and throughput of products and to share job knowledge in the department.
• Will maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, FOD-free fashion and adhere to all safety standards.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or its equivalent; previous Facilities/Maintenance experience may be substituted for education requirement.
• Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
