Arrowhead Products in Los Alamitos, CA is seeking a Maintenance Associate 1 to support Facilities & Maintenance operations, combining janitorial and general labor tasks to keep the facility clean, safe, and efficient.

Sweep, mop, sanitize high-traffic areas, organize stored items, and manage trash while assisting with minor repairs of electrical and mechanical systems. Forklift certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to use them safely.

Job Summary

This position will assist in the successful Facilities & Maintenance Operations of Arrowhead Products. It is a combination of the following jobs: Janitor and General Laborer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, and use industrial floor scrubbers to keep the facility floors free from dust, oil, and debris.
  • Sanitize and restock high-traffic employee areas, including locker rooms, cafeteria, and break rooms.
  • Organize all stored items.
  • Collect and dispose of regular trash, recyclables, and other materials in designated areas.
  • Clean parking lots.
  • Will assist plant management during emergency situations that include but are not limited to spills, evacuation, and clean-up operations.
  • Must obtain a forklift certification within the first 60 days after hire/transfer.
  • Utilize forklift to move stored equipment, factory-stored equipment, and oversized objects.
  • Must be capable of operating power equipment such as floor scrubbers and electric carts.
  • Participate in DOT, HAZMAT, and HAZWOPER training programs.
  • Will remove all scrap metals and empty them into containment bins throughout the facility.
  • Will assist skilled craftsmen perform minor repairs of electrical and/or mechanical systems such as replacing light bulbs and unclogging pipes.
  • Responsible for assisting the department in the development of techniques to increase productivity, quality, and throughput of products and to share job knowledge in the department.
  • Will maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, FOD-free fashion and adhere to all Safety Standards.
  • This job description is not all inclusive of all duties performed. Other job duties consistent with the Maintenance Associate 1 position may be assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent; previous Facilities/Maintenance experience may be substituted for education requirement.
  • Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred.

    • Be exposed to extremes in temperature, humidity, or wetness, particularly on the manufacturing floor.

Physical Requirements

  • Operate computers and equipment frequently.
