Job Description

International Paper is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Indianapolis Retail and Display team. This full-time, hourly position involves working on 2nd or 3rd shifts, with shifts from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. or 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday, respectively.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $500 bonus after 1 year, with an additional bonus at 2 years

Responsibilities:

1. Follow all safety rules and practices
2. Perform maintenance and repairs in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems with minimal supervision
3. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
4. Respond to work orders and support installation of new equipment and facility improvements
5. Maintain safety standards and support quality audits
6. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Mechanical Journeyman or technical/vocational certificate preferred
• Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, plumbing, steam and boilers, pneumatics, confined spaces, mobile equipment, MIG welding
• Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills
• Physical ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
