Job Description:

The Maintenance performs semi-skilled work in the maintenance, care, and modification of grounds and landscapes, including operating electrically powered and gasoline-powered groundskeeping equipment, and using small hand and power tools for planting, cultivating, and trimming grounds and landscaping.

About us:

Summit Place West is an assisted living community located in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are seeking a Maintenance Director to join our team, with the primary goal of providing exceptional care to our residents.

About the Role:

• Coordinate and perform daily maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance, and special projects.
• Maintain wheelchairs, shower chairs, and work carts by cleaning, oiling, and repairing as needed.
• Maintain grounds, including grass cutting, yard cleaning, shrubbery trimming, fence repairs, tree trimming, and insect control.
• Perform facility work such as painting, electrical, mechanical repairs, renovations indoors and outdoors.
• Handle supervisory roles such as scheduling and coordinating with the building administrator.

About you:

The ideal candidate should have:

• Experience in electrical, plumbing, and air-conditioning functions (highly desirable).
• Elementary education or the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Experience in Long-Term Care.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
