Job summary

Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Maintenance Associate to help keep our facilities safe, clean and well-maintained. You will inspect buildings, grounds and equipment and assist with events as needed.

You should have hands-on skills in HVAC, electrical and plumbing, perform routine maintenance, fix leaks, and follow health and safety regulations. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring reliable teamwork and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Must perform routine maintenance and basic repairs.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems preferred.
• Ability to follow safety regulations and protocols.
• Reliable and able to communicate with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform routine maintenance like changing bulbs and fixing leaks.
• Set up and break down events, move furniture as needed.
• Conduct minor repairs to building systems.
• Assist with daily cleaning of facilities.
• Landscape maintenance including mowing and snow shoveling.
• Maintain inventory of repair supplies.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisors.

Job description

The main duties and responsibilities of a Maintenance Associate include:

• Assist in the inspection of buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions


• Troubleshoot and repair issues with HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems


• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, etc.


• Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, including moving and arranging furniture


• Conduct minor building, HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs


• Assist with the daily cleaning of the facilities, including sweeping, mopping and trash removal


• Help with landscape maintenance, including mowing grass, trimming hedges and shoveling snow


• Follow all health and safety regulations and practices on every job


• Maintain inventory of repair supplies and materials


• Communicate with supervisors about unsafe conditions, damaged equipment or supplies needed
