Palms Associates, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Assistant (Apartment Turn Technician) to support River Mews Apartments in Newport News, VA. The role focuses on apartment turns and interior repairs to ready homes for new residents, with growth opportunities within a 645-unit community.

The position offers hourly pay ranging from $20.00 to $22.00, plus comprehensive benefits and in-house EPA HVAC certification training.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Apartment turnover or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic carpentry and repair skills (drywall, door installation, minor interior repairs) are a plus.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or appliance repair is a plus.
• Self-starter with a strong problem-solving mindset.
• Teamplayer who thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 and mobile devices.
• Strong communications skills in English; bilingual ability is a plus.

• Perform apartment turns and interior repairs to prepare homes for incoming residents.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks and repairs as needed.
