Garden City Health Care Center in Garden City, KS is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the facility, grounds, and equipment in a safe, efficient, and attractive condition for residents, visitors, and staff. The pay range is $17.50–$18.00 per hour and the role emphasizes safety and teamwork.

The ideal candidate has general maintenance knowledge, takes pride in quality work, and is comfortable completing a variety of indoor and outdoor assignments.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum tenth-grade education.
• Experience in maintenance, construction, facilities, or building repair preferred.

Mansioni

• Follow preventive-maintenance schedules and daily assignments.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plastering, painting, mechanical systems, and general upkeep).
• Inspect facility and equipment for damage, safety hazards, malfunctions, or needed repairs.
• Report equipment breakdowns and maintenance concerns to the supervisor promptly.
• Coordinate maintenance services with Nursing and other departments when working in resident-care areas.
• Maintain facility grounds, parking areas, walkways, and driveways.
