Genesis HealthCare in Pennsylvania is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the nursing center clean, safe, and well‑maintained. You will perform a variety of repairs and upkeep to support residents and staff.

Responsibilities include repairing handrails, windows, and electrical equipment, changing HVAC filters, stocking supplies, and stepping in for the maintenance supervisor when needed.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, sprinklers, generators, emergency lighting, and fire safety equipment.
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.
