Job summary

Meridian Senior Living in Bay Shore, NY is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to help keep the community safe, clean, and well maintained. You will support the Maintenance Director and interact with residents, families, staff, and vendors.

Candidates should have 1+ years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and strong communication and organizational skills. Full-time hours Tuesday–Saturday, 11am–7pm.

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience (1+ years preferred).
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Basic reporting and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain full-time attendance.
• Effective communication with residents, families, staff, vendors and the public.
• Valid driver's license.
• Maintenance experience in painting, cleaning, room turns, and other duties.

Responsibilities

• As the Maintenance Assistant, support the Maintenance Director to keep the Community safe, attractive, and well maintained.
• Help operate within the Community maintenance budget.
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks and repairs as directed.
