Waters Edge Health and Rehab is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for residents and staff in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The role includes repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility projects with a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating on-call duties.

The ideal candidate has experience with maintenance in healthcare settings, proficiency with hand and power tools, and solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare maintenance preferred.
• Able to operate hand and power tools.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• Good communication and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Inspect facility systems and report issues to appropriate teams.
• Assist with grounds upkeep and general building maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and safety checks.
• Assist in emergency situations such as power outages or plumbing issues.
• Ensure resident rooms, common areas, and staff areas are safe and well maintained.
• Support the Maintenance Director in preparing rooms for new admissions and discharges.

Maintenance Assistant

Full-Time | Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care

Waters Edge Health and Rehab is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our residents and staff in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will assist with repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility projects to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Maintenance Requirements

• Previous experience doing Maintenance preferably in healthcare
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and a profession, courteous approach
• Knowledge of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

This is a Monday- Friday position with rotating on call schedule- More info shared during interview

Maintenance Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems
• Respond to maintenance requests
• Perform inspections of facility systems and report any issues
• Help maintain facility grounds and upkeep outdoor areas
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work
• Assist in emergency situations such as power outage, or plumbing issues
• Ensure resident rooms, common areas, and staff areas are safe, functional and well maintained
• Assist with repairs and general building upkeep
• Work with the Maintenance Director to prepare rooms for new admissions and discharges
• Help ensure the facility complies with OSHA and other safety standards
