Job summary

Waters Edge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin, seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing Staff Educator to lead nursing staff education programs and advance clinical practice. This role supports the DON, develops training, and drives improvements in care quality.

You will design workshops, conduct needs assessments, and mentor staff while ensuring compliant documentation and reporting. A strong focus on teamwork and patient-centered care is essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in Wisconsin.
  • 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in long-term care.
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) / Long-Term Care (LTC) required.
  • Strong knowledge of infection control standards and nursing best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff.
  • Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and in-service programs to improve nursing practice.
  • Conduct needs assessments, evaluate program effectiveness, and update programs accordingly.
  • Foster a positive learning environment with open communication and feedback.
  • Assist the DON in managing day-to-day nursing department operations; supervise staff and provide clinical guidance.
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation and reporting.
  • Participate in clinical leadership on-call rotation.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and staff evaluations; provide coaching and performance feedback.
  • Support disciplinary processes as needed; promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
  • Provide education to staff.

Responsibilities include but not limited to
