Job summary

Alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in New York is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general upkeep and repairs across the facility, ensuring safe, clean, and well-maintained environments.

The role requires a High school diploma or GED, and may involve operating simple electrical and plumbing tasks, moving large equipment, and driving for supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• General maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to operate basic electrical and plumbing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment and keep it in good repair.
• Handle simple electrical and plumbing tasks and perform minor repairs.
• Move and position large equipment in and out of the facility.
• Keep facility grounds neat and orderly.
• Run errands for supplies and driving may be required.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks as instructed.
• Complete routine tasks accurately without direct supervision.
• Demonstrate the facility's mission and values through professional conduct.
• Adhere to the facility dress code.

• Must operate machinery and equipment, maintain in good repair, and store in an orderly fashion.
• Be able to handle and use simple electrical and plumbing equipment and make minor repairs.
• Be able to carry, push, and pull large equipment in and out of facility.
• Ensure that facility grounds are neat and in order.
• Run errands as needed for supplies—requires driving a motor vehicle.
• Assist with Preventative Maintenance duties as instructed.
• Accurately completes routine tasks without the need of direct supervision.
• Demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of the facility through professional excellence.
• Adheres to the facility dress code.
