Job summary

Aviata Health Group in Sarasota, FL is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner for residents. The role supports a family-focused community and requires a commitment to high standards.

You will coordinate daily maintenance with nursing, assist with repairs and refurbishing, and help ensure resident comfort and safety through routine inspections and proactive upkeep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of building trades or maintenance experience preferred.
• Candidate must be compassionate and dedicated to quality work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Assist with all repairs, preventative maintenance, refurbishing projects, and furniture/equipment moving.
• Maintain the facility ground.
• Ensure that the facility and its equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
• Assist with safety inspections, tests, and drills, as requested.
• Provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.
