Job summary

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care seeks a Maintenance Assistant to perform essential maintenance tasks ensuring a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for residents. You will support electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance to keep the facility in good repair.

Ideal candidates have a passion for seniors, strong communication, and a proactive, energetic approach. Prior LTC/SNF/AL/MC maintenance is preferred; a high school diploma is recommended.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Attention to Detail required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Prior maintenance experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and basic construction helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance activities to ensure environmental compliance with federal, state, and local codes.
• Maintain facility to keep it sanitary, attractive, and in good repair; address hazards related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will perform the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental compliance in accordance with Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. You will assist in the maintenance of the facility to ensure a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.

• Self Starter
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred
• Attention to Detail
• Prior experience in maintenance in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred
• Prior maintenance experience required
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hvac, some construction
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
