Job summary

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support our Effingham, IL community. You will perform maintenance duties to ensure a safe, clean, and compliant environment for residents and staff.

You will handle electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general facility upkeep, helping maintain a comfortable living space for seniors with attention to safety and quality of life. Strong communication and reliability are essential to excel in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred.
• Prior maintenance experience required.
• Prior maintenance experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental compliance with federal, state and local regulations and building codes.
• Maintain the facility to be sanitary, attractive, and orderly, and in good repair, free from hazards such as electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling systems.
