Job summary

Marquis Health Consulting Services through Laurel Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Mount Laurel, NJ, seeks a Maintenance Assistant to help keep a 215-bed facility safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff. You will perform daily rounds, minor repairs, and collaborate with staff to improve living spaces while following safety standards.

This full-time role offers an 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule with holiday and weekend coverage and same-day pay, at $18–$23 per

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years general maintenance experience.
  • Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of building equipment, building codes, and building systems.
  • Flexibility with schedule – availability for day, evening, holiday and weekend shifts is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.
  • Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.
  • Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.

Join our team at Laurel Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, a 215‑bed Sub‑Acute, Long‑Term Care facility where compassion and quality care are at the heart of everything we do. Work Schedule & Compensation

Full‑time opportunities available. 8 AM–4:30 PM, every other holiday, every other weekend. Tuesdays and Thursdays correspond with weekend coverage. Same‑day pay available. 3 PIB. $18‑$23 per hour.

  • Knowledge of building equipment, building codes, and building systems.
