Coral Harbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is hiring a full-time Maintenance Assistant. This role is essential to ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of general maintenance experience required.
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance rounds to identify needs and safety concerns.
• Conduct minor repairs in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Complete maintenance request logs promptly.
• Collaborate with staff for facility improvements.
• Assist with furniture moves and general maintenance projects.

Responsibilities for Maintenance Assistant:

• Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.
• Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for Maintenance Assistant:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
