Job summary

Holiday Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to join our full-time team. You will perform routine rounds, minor repairs, and collaborate with staff to keep the facility safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and visitors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years general maintenance experience (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC).
  • Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
  • Basic safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

  • Review logs and complete work orders accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with staff to improve resident spaces and facility environment.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to support resident safety and comfort.
  • Ensure work complies with safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities for Maintenance Assistant:
  • Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.
  • Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.
  • Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications for Maintenance Assistant:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).
  • Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
