Description

Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for the respective shift or area. Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor, regardless of severity. (NOTE: Such occurrences must be reported during the shift in which they happen.)

Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing staff when performing routine tasks in resident living areas. Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor, department director, or administrator.

Maintain resident confidentiality by not disclosing protected health information and reporting any violations promptly to the Administrator.

Attend departmental and staff meetings as scheduled or called.

Complete assigned tasks according to daily work plans and file grievances or complaints with your supervisor.

Follow maintenance schedules and policies, performing routine maintenance on grounds, facility, and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.

Perform cleaning duties such as window and screen cleaning, replacing bulbs, and servicing heating/cooling units as specified.

Handle unscheduled maintenance tasks as needed, replenish supplies, and ensure the facility remains in optimal condition for residents.

Report equipment malfunctions immediately and adhere to safety protocols when using tools and equipment.

Assist with lifting heavy objects, ensure equipment is cleaned and stored properly, and maintain the confidentiality of resident information.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

**Qualifications:**
- Minimum 10th-grade education

- Basic math skills (fractions, percentages, ratios)

**Physical Demands:**
- Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds
- Prolonged use of computers
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and communicate effectively
- May assist in emergency evacuations
