Position Details

Full-time, benefits-eligible maintenance position assisting the Facilities Maintenance Department. The role is based in the 'central region' (Roanoke Rapids) but may require coverage at any/all Rural Health Group locations. (See map at: http://rhgnc.org/directions/.)

Typical hours are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with potential overtime, weekend work, and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in maintaining exterior and interior of all RHG properties.
2. Perform routine maintenance and small remodeling projects.
3. Move and assemble furniture and materials as directed.
4. Coordinate maintenance services with approved vendors under the Facilities Manager's guidance.
5. Other duties including plumbing, lighting, carpentry, electrical work, and HVAC preventive maintenance.

Requirements

1. 1-3 years of construction or facility maintenance experience, or equivalent training/education.
2. Valid NC driver's license.
3. Knowledge of equipment, tools, and basic repair tasks.
4. Ability to prioritize, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and work independently with teamwork skills.
5. Good judgment and professional relationship skills.
6. Basic computer skills.
7. Physical and mental demands include manual labor outdoors, lifting 25+ pounds, working with hazardous materials, and the ability to comprehend instructions, concentrate, and adapt to changes.

Pay rate varies with experience. Benefits include group Medical, Dental, Life, Disability, and 403(b). Position open until filled. EOE. Background checks, drug screening, MVR check, and influenza vaccination are required. E-Verify participation is mandatory.
