Capitol Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Harrisburg, PA. This full-time role focuses on keeping a safe, functional facility for residents and staff. Daily rounds, minor repairs, and collaboration with team members are core duties.

Qualifications

• Must have basic maintenance capabilities including electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks.
• Ability to perform and prioritize routine maintenance with safety in mind.
• Experience in healthcare or senior-care facilities is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily rounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Carry out minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs.
• Review maintenance logs and complete work orders promptly and accurately.
• Collaborate with staff to improve resident living spaces and the facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly to support safety and comfort for residents.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and facility policies.

$45,000 per year

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Assistant:

• Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.

• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.

• Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.

• Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.

• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.

• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for Maintenance Assistant:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).

• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.

• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
