Job summary

Atrium Living Centers Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Michigan to keep our facilities safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained for residents and staff.

You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and respond to emergencies under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. Ideal candidates have prior experience in long‑term care or large facilities, strong communication, and the ability to manage on‑call situations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a long‑term care facility or larger institution (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and be on‑call as needed.
  • Good working knowledge of state rules and regulations.
  • Ability to relate positively to residents, families, and team members.
  • Positive Can‑Do Attitude and excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Complete repairs, construction‑type projects, and servicing of equipment according to manufacturer instructions, facility policies, and under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ensure equipment and utilities are maintained in good working order and facility grounds are properly maintained.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance as assigned, including facility logs such as water temperature, call lights, generator, and fire alarms.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
