Job summary

Meadowood Retirement Community is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a part-time day shift, about 25 hours weekly. The role supports a caring senior living environment under Tutera Senior Living & Health Care.

The duties include performing maintenance tasks to keep the facility compliant and safe, addressing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems. A high school diploma and prior LTC/SNF/AL/MC maintenance experience are preferred. Reliability and professionalism are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior LTC/SNF/AL/MC maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance department activities to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local codes.
• Assist in maintaining a sanitary, attractive, and orderly facility, in good repair.
• Address hazards in electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling systems.

PART TIME day shift, flexible schedule, approximately 25 hours week.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will perform the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental compliance in accordance with Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. You will assist in the maintenance of the facility to ensure a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors


• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality


• High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred


• Prior experience in maintenance in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred


• Prior maintenance experience required


• Must possess knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures


• Professional image in both appearance and behavior


• Excellent written and oral communication skills
