Job summary

Timbercreek Rehab and Healthcare Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the maintenance department and ensure a clean, safe, and compliant facility for residents. You will perform tasks to keep electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems in good repair while contributing to a sanitary and orderly environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior maintenance experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC settings preferred.

• Prior maintenance experience required.
• Experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC settings preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will perform the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental compliance in accordance with Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. You will assist in the maintenance of the facility to ensure a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred
• Prior experience in maintenance in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred
• Prior maintenance experience required
• Must possess knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
