Job description

Midsouth Steel, a leader in the erection and fabrication of structural and miscellaneous steel, has an immediate need for a Maintenance Assistant. This is a full-time, direct hire position offering great benefits and opportunities for advancement.

M-F 7a-3:30p

Location

ON SITE

Job Duties

1. Assisting Lead Maintenance Tech with all duties including troubleshooting machinery, low voltage electrical work, holding ladders, carrying materials, and learning on the job.

Ideal Candidate

1. Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
2. Punctuality and dependability.
3. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
4. Ability to read a tape measure.
5. Good computer skills.
6. Willingness to learn.
7. Knowledge of safety fundamentals.
