Sunrise Senior Living, LLC, a respected operator of senior living communities, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Abington, PA. You will perform routine maintenance tasks, handle basic repairs, and assist with refurbishing projects to keep residents' living areas safe and comfortable.

Responsibilities include HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, safety checks, and inventory. You will support make-ready suites and participate in drills, contributing to a secure and well-maintained community.

Qualifications

• Experience performing basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances) in an elderly-care setting.
• Ability to follow safety and infection-control standards.
• Comfort with driving community vehicle if required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders.
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures).
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects.
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory.
• Support carpet and floor care as needed.
• Assist with suite make-ready preparation.
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills.
