Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Area Manager - Maintenance for our Midway, TN facility. This role leads maintenance across multiple areas, oversees staffing, schedules, and budget adherence, and ensures safety and regulatory compliance.

The position emphasizes building strong teams and delivering reliable facility operations. The candidate will manage daily maintenance activities, coordinate with operations, and drive continuous improvements while upholding Walmart values and policies.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Technical School Certification in an Industrial related field and 1 year related supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Industrial, or related field or 1 year supervisory experience in a maintenance related environment.
• 2 years Walmart Logistics maintenance experience including six months experience leading a work or project team.
• 2 years supervisory experience in an industrial related environment; managing workload; hiring and promotion of employees.

Responsibilities

• Communicate goals and manage staffing and scheduling to achieve facility goals.
• Monitor and analyze production quality and safety; ensure training on policies and procedures.
• Supervise and develop associates and leaders; provide feedback and coaching.
• Manage maintenance department operations; monitor equipment and regulatory compliance.
• Manage expenses and asset utilization; prepare and analyze business reports.
• Foster a culture of belonging and high performance within the team.
