Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Description: Under close supervision, the Maintenance Apprentice assists one or more techs by performing specific or general duties on various work orders. The kind of work the apprentice performs varies from work order to work order. This is an entry level position.

Duties and Trades Responsibilities

• Always adhere to plant safety procedures.
• Learn and apply maintenance procedures for various types of equipment.
• Assist in diagnosing equipment issues and performing necessary repairs.
• Assist in completion of preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Work collaboratively with experienced technicians.
• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Ability to work part-time 30 hours per week on-site
  • PLUS attend evening class (5:00pm-8:10pm) four nights a week
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems preferred.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Must possess the ability to climb and work at varying heights.
