Job summary

The Town of Groton is seeking a Maintainer for the Parks & Recreation Department to join our Parks Maintenance team. This full-time position works Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.

The starting rate is $27.12 per hour, with a posted range of $27.12 to $34.84 per hour. Qualified applicants will have at least two years of full-time work experience and a valid motor vehicle license.

Job description

POSITION: Maintainer

Parks & Recreation Department

Parks Maintenance (M-F, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM)

Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Starting Rate

$27.12 (Employees start at position range minimum per contract)

Position Range

$27.12 - $34.84 / hour

Required Qualifications

• Two (2) years full time work experience. Ability to read and comprehend procedures, policies, documents, and directives that are necessary to the safe performance of the job.
• Valid Motor Vehicle License

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred skills include experience operating everyday trade equipment, such as power tools, chainsaws, power mowers, carpentry gear, and masonry tools.
• Additionally, experience driving pickup trucks and towing trailers is a strong plus.
