Job summary

Richman Property Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for the Larkin Village community in Illinois. You will perform daily repairs, prepare vacant units, manage service requests, and ensure OSHA compliance.

Join a team that values quality service and reliable building maintenance. EPA licenses and Yardi experience are preferred; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of maintenance and repair experience in a residential environment.
• EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license.
• Experience with Yardi property management software.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws.
• Proficient in English; valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines.
• Manage service requests and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act.
• Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment.
• Complete required training, logs, and reports in a timely manner.
• Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service.
• Seek educational opportunities for personal growth and development.
• Assist in property preventative maintenance plan.
• Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds.
• Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime.

Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Larkin Village. Our 476 residential units. Located in Illinois.

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Key Qualifications:

• Two or more years of maintenance experience in a residential community environment Preferred
• EPA I & II or EPA Universal
• Experience with Yardi property management software products

Requirements:

• Education:
  • High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred
• Experience:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience or Groundskeeper
  • Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
  • Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Skills & Certifications:
  • EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license, strongly preferred
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes
