Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a System Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain toolsets that support z/OS infrastructure, GDPS-CA, and NETVIEW. You will develop templates, playbooks, and automation to enable reliable operations and ongoing improvements.

The role requires 7+ years of mainframe automation experience, strong REXX and Pipes programming skills, and the ability to communicate across technical and management audiences. This is an in-office role with routine on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience with Mainframe z/OS and automation.
• Deep knowledge of IBM System Automation and GDPS-CA.
• Strong communication, documentation and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and support IBM System Automation for Z/OS and GDPS-CA.
• Develop automation templates, playbooks, and pipelines.
• Lead small teams and provide technical knowledge as a contributor.
• Write documentation and assist with on-call support.
• Translate business needs into technical definitions and roadmaps.
