Job summary

Northern Base in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a Senior Mainframe Storage Admin to lead hands-on administration of enterprise storage systems and DR preparedness. You will work with Hitachi VSP 5000, IBM TS7780, DFSMS, and related tools to ensure high availability, perform capacity planning, tuning, and recovery drills, and provide guidance to development teams.

• Hands-on experience with mainframe storage systems and DR drills.
• Ability to perform capacity planning and performance tuning.
• On-call support and incident response experience.
• Experience with mainframe storage replication setup.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/12 operational support for mainframe storage systems and related utilities.
• Perform mainframe storage system recovery activities to ensure high availability and resilience.
• Provide technical guidance to application development teams on storage needs.
• Handle on-call troubleshooting for mainframe storage issues.
• Set up and manage mainframe DC storage replication.
• Work with PARMLIB/PROCLIB concatenation and maintenance.

• Hands-on experience with Hitachi VSP 5000, IBM TS7780,
• Hitachi HUR
• DFSMS suite, CA-1
• FDR/ABR
• SMP/E in depth knowledge to do install work on ISV products
• Setup and Manage Mainframe DC Storage Replication
• IODF/IOCDS, HCD/HCM, Mainframe Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning
• PARMLIB and PROCLIB concatenation and maintenance
• Experience in Disaster Recovery setup and conducting DR drills.
• Provide 24/12 operational support for Mainframe storage systems and associated utilities.
• Perform Mainframe storage system recovery activities to ensure high availability and resilience.
• Provide technical guidance and advice to application development teams on need basis
• On-Call support for any mainframe storage related issues troubleshooting
