Job summary

Truist is seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain complex mainframe applications on IBM z/OS. You will collaborate with business product owners and technology teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions across the SDLC.

Responsibilities include leading complex development, performing system integration, and providing production support with robust problem-solving and root-cause analysis. Familiarity with COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2 is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 5 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of information systems and IT best practices.
• Experience with IBM z/OS mainframe environments including COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, analyze, test, implement, and maintain complex application solutions.
• Lead development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions.
• Analyze requirements and translate into reliable, scalable technology solutions.
• Perform system integration and collaborate with teams to support end-to-end processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues with root-cause analysis.
• Build and maintain monitoring and security controls per standards.
