Job summary

LTIMindtree seeks a Mainframe Production Support SME to maintain and enhance critical mainframe applications in Plano, TX. You will lead troubleshooting, batch processing fixes, and data reporting to support business lines.

The role requires deep COBOL/Easytrieve/JCL knowledge, experience with VSAM/DB2/IMS DBDC, and CA7/NDMFTP File Manager skills. On-call and after-hours support are expected.

Qualifications

• 10 years of developing/supporting mainframe-based applications.
• 10 years of developing batch using JCL.
• 10 years of analyzing/developing COBOL Easytrieve programs.
• 10 years with VSAM, DB2 and IMS DBDC.
• 5 years with tools such as CA7, NDMFTP, File Manager.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production issues, restore batch abends and create adhoc data reports.
• Provide hands-on SME support and resolve Priority 1–3 issues.
• Assess and suggest process improvements and performance enhancements.
• Maintain documentation of issues and business processes.
• Application release and deployment support.
• Production ticket triage and issue resolution.
• Identify root causes and perform break-fix in code/DB.
• Provide after-hours and on-call support when needed.

Job Title:

Mainframe Production Support SME

Job Description

This job is responsible for supporting critical Mainframe applications to accomplish business goals

Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that applications are functioning as designed address batch or customer issues and find improvement opportunities

Analyze production issues restore batch abends and create adhoc data reports as requested by Line of Business

Job expectations include a strong knowledge of Mainframe batch applications programming languages such as COBOL JCL Easy trieve and commonly used Mainframe tools

Serve as hands on Subject Matter Expert and support issues resolution Priority 1, 2, 3

Assess and suggest process improvements enhancements and performance improvements

Maintain documentation of the issues and knowledge of business processes

Application Release and Deployment Support

Production TicketIssue Triage support

Identify root cause in the code perform breakfix activities in the code andor DB

Create adhoc data reports as needed by Line of Business

Provide support after office hours weekends and oncall support when business needs

Required Qualifications

10 years of developingsupporting Mainframe based applications

10 Years of developing batch using Job Control Language JCL

10 Years of analyzingdeveloping COBOL Easytrieve programs

10 Years of experience working with Flat files VSAM DB2 and IMS DBDC

5 Years of experience with tools such as CA7 NDMFTP File Manager

Desired Qualifications

Good communication skills both written and oral are required as the individual must interface with application developers support teams and management

Experience with Consumer banking or Deposits applications

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
